Semarchy xDI 2026.1: Native GraphQL Connectivity for Modern Data Integration
Semarchy is pleased to announce the release of Semarchy xDI 2026.1, a Long-Term Support (LTS) version that brings native GraphQL connectivity to support modern, API-driven data integration patterns.
With this release, integration designers can build integration flows that execute GraphQL queries and process the responses to load structured data in target systems. This enables more flexible, efficient integration with applications and platforms that expose data through GraphQL APIs.
Why GraphQL for Data Integration?
Modern SaaS and cloud platforms increasingly expose their data through GraphQL rather than traditional REST endpoints. While REST remains widely used, it can introduce friction for integration teams:
| Challenge | Description |
| Multiple Endpoints | Multiple endpoints are often required to assemble a complete dataset |
| Unnecessary Data Transfer | Response payloads may contain unnecessary fields, driving up data transfer |
| Complex Nested Objects | Complex, nested objects are harder to work with in conventional integration flows |
GraphQL addresses these challenges by allowing clients to request exactly the data they need in a single query, with a structure that closely matches the application’s domain model. Bringing GraphQL natively into xDI means integration designers can now align more naturally with these modern APIs.
What’s New in xDI 2026.1
Native GraphQL Connectivity
xDI 2026.1 introduces a new GraphQL connector, enabling you to:
- Design flows that execute GraphQL queries and mutations directly from xDI
- Retrieve and process GraphQL responses to load structured data into target systems
- Work more easily with complex, nested data structures that reflect real-world business objects
By issuing a single GraphQL request tailored to your use case, xDI data integration flows reduce unnecessary data transfer, simplify flow design, and make it easier to work with complex, nested data models. This first phase of GraphQL support lays the groundwork for broader and deeper capabilities in future xDI releases.
Extended Support for Apache Tomcat 10.1 and 11
xDI 2026.1 also extends Production Analytics support to Apache Tomcat 10.1 and 11, ensuring compatibility with modern runtime environments and ongoing platform maintenance.
A Long-Term Support (LTS) Release
xDI 2026.1 is delivered as a Long-Term Support release, making it a strong foundation for strategic integration initiatives:
| Milestone | Date |
| Release date | Jan 15, 2026 |
| End of Maintenance | Jan 16, 2028 |
| End of Support | Jan 15, 2029 |
Customers looking for a stable baseline with a well-defined lifecycle can confidently standardize on xDI 2026.1 for their data integration projects.
