Description

This process action sends one or more IDocs from an XML file to an SAP ECC system through an RFC connection.

Before using this action, set up SAP ECC to process IDocs.

Setup

  1. Add the process action Sap ECC Send IDOC from the Process Palette, under the Connectors section.

  2. Drag and drop an IDoc metadata element onto the action.

    The metadata link provides the SAP connection details and sets In File Name from the XML input file path in the metadata.

  3. Alternatively, drag and drop SAP Server metadata onto the action and set In File Name manually.

  4. Set the optional action parameters as needed.

  5. Connect the action in the process flow.

Idoc Transaction Commit Number

Controls how the action commits IDocs when the input file contains several IDocs.

Set this parameter to one of these two values:

  • -1: sends and commits all IDocs together in one SAP transaction.

  • 1: sends and commits each IDoc in its own SAP transaction.

RFC Queue Name

No

Outbound RFC queue name. Set this value to ensure that SAP processes the IDocs in a particular order.
